Where does the time keep going? I cannot believe that our little boy is now 8 months old! He is growing so quickly. He is now weighing in at 21 pounds and is 28 3/4 inches long. He is grabbing at everything and we can't keep anything out of his reach. He isn't crawling yet, but I'm sure that stage will be here before we know it. For right now, we are just enjoying the fact that he isn't mobile yet. We have had a couple of great achievements in the past week. Garrett is now saying "Dada" and he is also taking all of his naps in his crib! He has been overall healthy and feeling well up until the past few days. I gave him some Chicken & Noodle Dinner baby food this week and he did not do well with it. He was up the entire past few night screaming with tummy pains. It was only after he got it twice that we figured out that it contained egg. So, this kind of reinforces our thought that he may have an egg allergy. We have set up an appointment with a Pediatric Allergist for next week so hopefully we will do allergy testing and figure out if these are truly allergies or just intolerances to milk, oat & egg. This will also give us a heads up before trying out wheat & nuts. Garrett also had to go to the doctor today because he didn't seem to be feeling well. He was extremely fussy all day and I thought that he may have an ear infection. His ears were fine, but his throat is extremely red and covered in blisters. It is more than likely just a virus, so we will just have to wait it out. Poor little guy! Hopefully he will get to feeling better soon.
