Garrett had his 6 month physical today. He did pretty well, although he definitely does not like having his ears checked. His weight today was 19 lbs and 2 oz (75th percentile), height was 27 5/8" (90th percentile) and his head was 44 3/4 cm (75th percentile). He got 4 shots today and only cried briefly. His "Aunt" Chas had to do his vaccines and I know that she was sad to make him cry, even though it helps keep him healthy. A few hours after we got home we noticed some swelling starting under his eyes and one cheek. We called Dr. Harper and were instructed to give him Benadryl. The only new shot that he received today was his flu shot, which contains traces of egg. So, we are wondering if maybe he has an egg allergy. This would not be surprising given his milk allergy and his intolerance/possible allergy to oatmeal. Anyway, the Benadryl seems to be keeping the swelling under control and we will keep a close eye on him overnight. We will probably need to discuss doing allergy testing at some point.

Heather,
I'm impressed by the height and weight! He has already passed Ruth and she is 13 months. WOW! Hope life is going well.
