Today Garrett and I travelled to Lafayette to walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event given by the American Cancer Society at SIA. It was a gorgeous day for the event and they had a great turnout. There were over 500 walkers there and we were able to raise quite a bit of money for breast cancer research. As you can see from the photo, Garrett was all geared up for the long walk (or stroller ride in his case). We walked with my mom, my aunts Cindy & Sharon and my Great Aunt Lois and her daughter. It was a memorable event for our family. After the walk, we went to lunch and then to the Veteran's Home to visit my grandmother. Garrett loved staring at his Great-Grandma and was cooing and giggling at her during most of his visit. I know that it made her day to be able to see him.
