Today Adam & I decided to take Garrett to pick out his pumpkin. Last year Adam wasn't able to go with us and Grandma got the pleasure of helping to pick out Garrett's first pumpkin. This year, though, I really wanted Adam to be able to go with us. It was kind of a last minute decision to go and we knew that we only had about 1 or 2 hours max before Garrett would be in desperate need of a nap, so off we went. We went to Stoney Creek Farms, which is such a wonderful place! However, today it turned out to be a wonderfully BUSY place. We couldn't even get in the parking lot because traffic was backed up for about a half mile! After a few minutes of weighing all of the factors, we decided that it just wasn't going to happen today :-( But, on the way home, Adam spotted a small sign for more pumpkins! We thought we might as well check it out and found a cute little "farm" that grows pumpkins, apples, mums, strawberries, and all kinds of other fun things. They had so many pumpkins to choose from and Garrett walked around and kept saying "Ooooh, Oooh" over and over again. He would find the biggest pumpkins, wrap his arms around them and then lift with all of his might! So cute! They offered a hay ride and more fun activities, but by this point Garrett was obviously exhausted and getting very cranky. Oh well. Next year we know that this is the place to go to avoid all of the crowds!
